Denbury Inc. has a current opening for a M & R Foreman in our Baker location in Baker, Montana.

Job Summary

 

The M&R Foreman position will supervise all Mechanics and I&E staff for its assigned area while ensuring that equipment can safely support maximum production rates for designated field locations. The M&R Foreman will lead and manage the planning of mechanical and I&E work as required minimizing losses and optimizing downtime. In addition, this position will report, review & analyze equipment performance through effective use and reporting of key performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities. The work will require travel to outlying field locations in the Baker (CCA) areas while working a 14/14 rotational shift. 

 

This leadership position requires extensive knowledge of all aspects of oilfield operations. Individuals must possess good written and verbal communication skills. In addition, the individual needs to have good organizational skills to help plan, schedule, and execute all daily activities. This position will meet Denbury targets, achieved through successful influence and relationships throughout the Denbury organizations. The job catalyzes continuous improvement in production excellence. May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure that company, embedded, and contract services under your control or supervision follow Denbury and industry safety policies & procedures.
  • Actively engage in safety conversations, hazard identification, and identify good and bad safety performance. 
  • Align to Denbury Operational Excellence Management System and the Denbury Difference.     
  • Supervises company and embedded I&E (instrumentation & electricians) and mechanic technicians. Provide leadership, direction and communicates job requirements.
  • Manages all area M&R activities and allocates resources to maximize equipment availability, cost-effectiveness, and workplace safety.
  • Works alongside the production Foreman to ensure operational tasks are prioritized, planned, and executed.
  • Assists in the development of the operation budget. (Provide mechanical & I&E PM costs).
  • Responsible for tracking and meeting operational targets and budgets.
  • Prepares and maintains M&R maintenance schedule for management.
  • Responsible that all M&R activities are done according to company policies and standards.

  • Manages the training, development, and performance appraisal for company direct reports.
  • Utilize SAP to manage all M&R activities.
  • Provide ownership of PM program – Development and implementations
  • Commitment to following Denbury’s Code of Conduct and Core Values so the company is well represented to service suppliers, landowners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Track key performance indicators and develop action plans to improve HSE, production, cost, and availability/reliability of assets.
  • Ensure critical spares needed to ensure runtime of assets are maintained in stock by utilizing SAP and interaction with Supply chain and EAM departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.

 

Skills and Relevant Experience

 

  • 10+ years of experience in performing mechanical and/or I&E activities in the Oil and Gas industry or similar industry with similar mechanical and electrical and instrumentation systems/equipment
  • Experience with SAP or similar PMM system.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, including Excel, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, and web-based applications.
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license

Education

 

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Environmental and Physical Requirements

  • 50% of the work will be conducted in an office environment.  The other 50% will be in the field with their team.  However, travel will be required with some overnight stays. Work may require standing, stooping, walking, climbing, carrying instruments weighing up to 40 pounds, and wearing various personal protective equipment.
