Job Summary
Denbury currently has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager / Engineer to join our corporate operations in Plano, Texas. This position reports to the Director of CCUS Commercial Development and Project Integration. Position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing team in an emerging CCUS industry. Job responsibilities include managing CCUS projects from FEED to execution, maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers and assisting in project planning and strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in overall CCUS project planning and strategy through internal workgroups and processes
Understand and evaluate economic impacts of potential customer projects.
Support the commercial development team on high level scopes and schedules.
Outward facing point of contact for customers and/or potential customers.
Collaborate with the commercial team to manage project opportunities and as well the project execution.
Assist in technical feasibility and studies.
Communication and collaboration between Stakeholders.
Manage company internal technical team and external consultants/contractors responsible for providing information for various tasks and deliverables.
Oversight and ownership of project execution.
Control multiple Project Scopes, Budgets, and Schedules.
Adherence to all Company Standards.
Create and present technical presentations to potential customers and project stakeholders.
Skills and Relevant Experience
Experience
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of related project management/engineering experience and have demonstrated the ability to manage moderate scope projects and multiple smaller projects.
- Candidate must have Experience with Microsoft's Office Product Suite, including PowerPoint, MS Projects (Preferred), Excel, and Outlook.
Communication
- Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organization
- Candidate must be highly organized and Goal Oriented.
Time Management
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage their time, as they will often be working on multiple tasks/projects at once.
Problem-solving
- Candidate must possess analytical skills and be able to solve problems and make decisions that affect the project regularly.
Education
Candidate must, at a minimum, possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline (i.e., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or related field from an accredited University
Environmental and Physical Requirements
Work will primarily be conducted in an office environment; travel may be required to plants or facilities, with the occasional need to wear personal protective equipment. Must have the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
