Job Summary
Join our Denbury Inc. team and join a dynamic and skilled group of Oil and Gas Professionals as a Document Management Specialist where your skills will be valued. This position will report to our Plano, TX office working a Hybrid 9/80 schedule with two days remote and three required days on-site with every other Friday off.

The Document Management Specialist will work with various departments and job functions to define document management requirements and prepare implementation plans. They will assist in the development of document management policies and procedures and translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers and system administrators to build and deploy. While also being responsible for training end users on the proper use of document management systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Document the current state flow of documents within Denbury.
- Develop and implement document management policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of document retention policies.
- Monitor and report on document management system usage.
- Assist the business in constructing processes to ensure adherence to standards.
- Collaborate among all business units to ensure documents are properly shared across teams.
- Lead and manage integrated projects across business units and disciplines to implement systems, processes, and standards that advance the document management strategies of the organization.
- Develop metrics, strategies, and tools to measure the results of document management efforts and provide insight into refinements of the document management standards and workflows.
- Create solution requirements to facilitate the integration of documents from multiple systems across Denbury (SharePoint and OpenText)
- Educate and train the organization on document management standards, practices, and workflows.
Skills and Relevant Experience
- Knowledge of document management principles, concepts, and technology
- Understanding of the flow of documents concerning both processes and systems
- Capable of multitasking and working on a wide range of projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, fully assess problems, and develop effective solutions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and Relevant Experience
- Familiarity with oil and gas documents and business processes
- Experience with OpenText Content Server, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Visio
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in information management or related field and/or 5+ years of relevant experience
Environmental and Physical Requirements
- Work will primarily be conducted in an office environment; travel may be required to district and field offices and/or oil and gas production facilities, with the occasional need to wear personal protective equipment.
- Position requires the ability to frequently communicate information and to manage the possible stress of an office environment.
- Work may include being stationary for long periods of time, with occasional movement about the office.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required.
- Position requires constant operation and viewing of a computer screen and other office machinery.
