SAP PRA Functional Analyst

Denbury is currently searching for a SAP PRA Functional Analyst to join their IT department in Plano, Texas.  The SAP Team Member requires an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Production Revenue Accounting and other related modules.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide configuration development and production support in SAP PRA in conjunction with developers.
  • Analyze complex problems and develop unique strategies for proper resolution. Seek new and innovative solutions.
  • Ensure functional specifications and testing cases/results are documented properly.
  • Provide timely support for business to operate smoothly.
  • Liaise with system developers to determine solutions and analyze business impacts.
  • Provide guidance for design, development & maintenance of custom solutions.
  • Research and respond to audit requests.
  • Manage implementation of 3rd party software.
  • Regularly interact with Denbury Revenue and Division Order customers on support and business initiative issues.
  • Responsible for providing feedback to management regarding project status.

 

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Must have at least 5 years of PRA configuration and support experience in SAP ECC 6.0 Suite on HANA.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of:
    • Revenue Accounting
    • Production Allocation
    • Division Order
  • Strong understanding of State and Federal Reporting Requirements (both Tax and Royalty)
  • Understanding of 1099 Reporting Requirements along with Annual 1099 Extraction & Validation (both In-House and with 3rd Party)
  • The candidate must be effective in gathering requirements from the business users, know the appropriate SAP standard functionality/options and be able to clearly articulate the pros and cons associated with each option.
  • Provide functional knowledge with regard to custom net profits interest (NPI) Process.
  • Ability to identify and analyze issues and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of employees, management, external contacts, end-users, and technical resources.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and handle stress effectively despite time constraints while displaying a can-do attitude.
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, detail oriented and customer focus.
  • Experience working with IT in cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

 

Preferred skills & abilities

  • Upstream oil and gas revenue accounting experience.

 

Environmental & Physical Demands

Work will primarily be conducted in an office environment; travel may be required to district and field offices and/or oil and gas production facilities, with the occasional need to wear personal protective equipment. Position requires the ability to frequently communicate information and to manage the possible stress of an office environment. Work may include being stationary for long periods of time, with occasional movement about the office. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required. Position requires constant operation and viewing of a computer screen and other office machinery.
